Milind Soman becomes India’s Pride after winning “Iron Man” title

Milind Soman, at 50 completes the toughest race Triathlon and wins the “Iron Man” title in allegedly the world’s toughest race at Zurich, Switzerland on July 19th. The Bollywood actor and model has made India proud after his success at Triathlon held at Zurich.

The Triathlon is a tough competition which is reported to be the world’s most difficult one day sporting events. This includes running, cycling and swimming. The race target’s a 3.8-km swim, 180-km cycling and a 42.2-km run together to be completed within 17 hours. At least 2000 athletes participated in the competition from all over the world. Seven other Indians also participated in the competition. Thorough practicing and concentration is needed as preparation to face the competition.

Milind Soman completed the competition in 15 hours and 19 minutes. The model cum actor has put great efforts in winning the title. He has been practicing for more than six months.  He said that, if a person has sufficient knowledge about the condition of his body and observing bodies functions in terms of nutrition and health could make him succeed any goal in life. He said that he wanted to gift himself something special on his 50th birthday. The “Iron Man”title won at the Triathlon was indeed the special gift he waited for.

Milind Soman is an Indian super model, actor and a producer. He was born in 1965 in a Marathi family. He was married to a French woman named Mylene Jamponai in 2006. In the mid 1990’s, he emerged to be a supermodel and has worked for many reputed companies. He was first seen in Alisha Chinai’s “Made in India” music album which created a sensation through out the world. After that he focused on films and has acted in Hindi, English and Swedish films. In 2012, he entered the Limca book of records for running 1500 kms in 30 days for Greenathon.
