Man sets ablaze his mother-in-law, wife and infant

In a shocking incident, a man had set ablaze three persons of his family which include his mother in law, his wife and eight month old son. This incident is believed to happen after a dispute fired between him and the womn in connection with the dowry matters.

A Medical Representative ills his wife and eight month old son

Akula Rajendra Prasad, a medical Representative and a native of Yerabalem in Guntur district was married to A. Roja of Chittinagar Nagar, Vijayawada. A.Roja was the daughter of K. Venkatamma. The accused Akula Rajendra Prasad was given a dowry of five lakh rupees and 50% share of the property of K.Venkatamma. Roja’s mother conducted the marriage of her daughter grandly and completed the rights to be given to her daughter.

Roja came when was pregnant to her mother’s house one year earlier. After giving birth, the accused did not show interest in bringing back his wife and the kid to his house. He demanded more dowry from K.Venkatamma. He compelled his wife to get the house registered in his name as a part of dowry. This issue created dispute between mother in law and the accused.The accused came to his mother in law’s house on Saturday with two liters of petrol in packs and sets ablaze K.Venkatamma, Roja and his son Vidya Sagar on fire and fled from the spot. The neighbors rushed them to the Hospital nearby, when Roja and Vidya Sagar succumbed to 70% burns and died in the hospital. Venkatamma is still in the Hospital battling between life and death.

According to the 2 town Police, Akula Rajendra Prasad is said to have an illegal affair with another woman. He often quarreled with his wife to bring more dowry. The police added that the couple had a big quarrel on this issue on Friday night. He poured petrol on his mother in law and set her ablaze. He then poured petrol on his wife and son and set fire while he escaped from the spot. The Police officials said that the search for the accused is in progress and he will be arrested soon.
