In a fresh meeting with Tajikistan, Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi asked Tajikistan President Mr. Emomali Rehman to extend their co-operation in ending terrorism. Talks were held on 13th July at Dushanbe.
In the last visit of his six country visit of Middle Asia, Mr. Modi reached Tajikistan on 112th July night. During his meeting with the Tajikistan President, he said a meeting must be initiated with Joint Working Group on terrorism. They also said the meeting of Joint Working Group will started soon. Mr. Modi without mentioning the names of Pakistan and Afghanistan said “Both the countries are very near to the main base camps of terrorism. Both thesee countries are causing threat not only for themselves, but also spreading it the entire world.”
In a press conference, both the leaders talked mainlyon Trade and Investments. Later, both the leaders signed on two agreements relating to co-operation in Cultural, Economical Development. Later, they iaugurated the statue of Viswakavi Rabindhranath Tagore. Tajikistan President Mr. Emomali Rehman asked India to participate in the construction of Hydro Electrical Projects as there is a vast opportunity for these projects. They also ordered the officials to increase flight frequency between Delhi and Dushanbe, so that the relations can be increased.
Mr. Modi visited the hospital which was jointly operated by India and Tajikistan. He said that India will stand for the people’s wish for peaceful, stable and economic Afghanistan. He also discussed about entry of India and its benefits in the proposed Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan Trilateral Business Agreement. After swearing as Prime Minister, Mr. Modi has taken several initiatives with the neighboring countries to develop bilateral relations with them. Undoubtedly, Mr. Modi is showing some thing different in his rule.
