is there an advantage to mail-in?

There sure is. I’m going to ride my motorcycle to the grade school over here that is my designated polling place, June 5. But if you’re crippled, can’t get out, or have to work three jobs and can’t get the time to go vote, mail in ballots are the answer!

    Ron Paul 2012!!!

The main slime media are just wishing hoping and praying that he will drop out BUT there is no turning back baby! All the way to Tampa!

  • romancito

I am glad this change in tactics at this very important time when state conventions and state caucuses need all of the attention. I see that Dr. Paul has learned how to run a presidential campaign within the corrupt and manipulative GOP party policy. There are three and a half months left to the Tampa Convention and there is ton of work that the campaign has to do to be able to get Dr. Paul 1144 delegate votes once he is nominated from the floor. That is daunting and very difficult work lies ahead. I applaud Dr. Paul’s leadership in conveying the need to stay polite and courteous but push as hard as it is possible to attain success at every level. It is the only way that the convention delegates will be swayed to vote for Dr. Paul once Romney throws a fit because he is denied his first ballot nomination. Good luck Dr. Paul. Sorry Romney and take it easy in your way back home.

Excellent clarification, Jack. A lot of us will be disheatened by this announcement but it is only a new strategy and I think its brilliant. The media has done nothing positive for Ron Paul, now they will leave him completely alone. That is far better than what they have been doing which is to campaign against him with false and misleading propaganda. By blowing off the rest of the primaries we can use our resources to much better advantage. We can still get enough delegates to force a brokered convention, especially in light of the recent revelation that in fact no delegates are actually bound. Everyone needs to remember that when they proudly announce Mittens has reached the magic number of delegates it is only more hype and BS because many of those are stealth delegates and will NOT vote for Mittens, even on the first ballot. The convention in Tampa is going to be fantastic, and it will be Ron Paul’s convention!
The decision to blow off the remaining beauty contests is a good one and should not affect the number of delegates Ron Paul will acquire. Its the conventions that count. In a way it is like flipping the bird to all the hypesters while we quietly go about the business of securing the nomination for Ron Paul.
Keep up the good fight! Go Ron Paul!

I mailed in a new registration so I could be Republican, and then attended a fundraiser here in Los Angeles at the Ayers Hotel. (Rosecrans and the 405) I paid $1000 to attend the VIP reception where I met Ron Paul and shook his hand.
    What a privilege!
I introduced myself as a lifelong registered Democrat who has never voted against my union paycheck. Ron Paul smiled and replied, “I don’t have anything against unions, if that’s what everyone wants. I just don’t want people forced into joining a union against their wishes”. (sticking to his convictions, the right to work vote, that I’ve always considered a union busting technique)
I was amazed at the man’s stamina, having been campaigning non-stop for so long, and the Dr. is in really great shape!
There was a special guest who spoke first, Nassim Taleb. Ron Paul in his after dinner speech (the food was fabulous!) he introduced his wife Carol, updated everyone on his gaining popularity and announced we even have a Democrat here tonight, at which point I stood up to applause.
I am not going to abandon my union paycheck, I just want it to “go further” when I retire.
Gold (sound money) Liberty Freedom and Bring Our Troops HOME!
    Ron Paul 2012

I too am a union employed worker. I support my freedom far more than my paycheck! What good is a paycheck without freedom? Labor unions have a lot of good things about them, and like everything else there are downsides. Freedom is first and foremost, without it prosperity cannot prevail.. Ron Paul 2012 let’s get our cou try back!

The MSM will probably never get it correct. Remember that there was a famous headline “Dewey Wins”…but, Truman had actually won. So don’t expect a Ron Paul win headline….BUT, DO EXPECT AMERICA TO HAVE A PRESIDENT PAUL…..and the WORLD WILL REJOICE!

I was disappointed however that it seemed like he was abandoning Texas.

Well I’m probably uninformed because I have no idea who this Jack Hunter guy is, but frankly I don’t care because his words ring true and he obviously knows what he’s talking about. I like it. Great explanation… And so right about the mainstream media. They don’t know their head from their donkey when it comes to this primary race.

  • Murray J Souders

Let Obama and Romney smear each other while we walk right on by them with our wins! we can walk out of the shadows and take the delegate votes!

  • DrLeadBasedPaint

Sorry folks, he has left us high (altitude-wise, not pharmacologically high) and dry. The time to fight is NOW, but he doesn’t want to fight. We are to be respectful and allow the Romney thugs and GOP criminals to run roughshod over us. How is he going to win when he will not fight? He’s barely asked anyone for their votes during the whole primary, and now it’s “I’m afraid of a convention disruption because they will blame Ron Paul supports” B.S. The man at the top should be the one standing up for his supporters who have been pummeled at nearly every caucus and convention by the forces of evil. Sorry.Whimping out is no excuse. P.S. I still won’t vote for Rombama

You know, I’ve tried to do this on other sites, where I can’t say as
much – maybe you guys can help me spread the idea. Why would Dr. Paul
make such an announcement? To inform us? REALLY? The people who scour
the internet for information on their beloved icon need a PRESS RELEASE?
It seems obvious the press release isn’t intended for us, right? Who,
then is it intended for? That much seems obvious – it is intended for
Romney and the RNC. Why would Paul send them a press release? I would
imagine because they threatened him with expulsion from the party.

Once outside the party, a third party run becomes impossible – election
laws are written to make such runs extremely unlikely to succeed. Ouster
from the party would probably also cost Rand his career. Of course, if
Paul were not a threat to Romney, his support would prove invaluable in
    the general election.

So LET’S NOT BE A THREAT. Let’s all promise to support the presumptive
nominee when trying to fill delegate spots, and come right out and state
that we are becoming delegates for the purpose of influencing the party
platform. It’s true isn’t it? The platform will certainly change when
we’re in the majority, won’t it? And if OUR presumption differs from
THEIR presumption, we can hardly be blamed for that can we?

In point of fact maybe one of our parliamentarians can introduce a
movement that each delegate make a promise to support the presumptive
nominee, and all Paul supporters can vote in favor. Just resist any
moves to amend by substituting a name for ‘presumptive nominee’.

Do you all see where I’m going with this? Do you understand that I’m NOT
wavering in my support for Dr. Paul? He has to be doing this for a
reason. Let’s try to help him!
